How to install a bike rack in concrete

Cycle stands and school bike racks are usually installed in the ground via the following method:

1. A hole is made in the ground for each leg of the cycle rack (typically, these will have a minimum diameter of six inches but the instructions of the manufacturer should be followed).
2. Anchor rods are inserted into the bottom of the cycle stand’s legs.
3. The cycle stand’s legs are inserted into the holes.
4. Concrete is poured into the holes and left to set - this will secure the cycle rack in place.

It is advised that you hire a professional to install bike racks into concrete to ensure they are secure and safe to use.
