How much weight can a pallet rack hold?

The total weight a warehouse pallet rack can hold will vary across manufacturers and depend on size and design. Our range features pallet racking with a maximum shelf load of 1100kg (2425lb). How wide is a pallet rack?

Pallet racks are typically wide enough to accommodate standard 1200 x 1000mm pallets, however larger and smaller options are available. Use the Filter By option to find your preferred pallet rack size.

How often should warehouse racking be inspected?

The Health and Safety Executive recommends regular warehouse racking inspections should be conducted at least once every 12 months by a ‘technically competent’ person, such as a SEMA approved racking inspector.

Can you work under pallet racking?

It is safe to work under pallet racking, provided the rack has been installed correctly, complies with all safety standards and isn’t overloaded or loaded incorrectly.

Does heavy duty pallet racking need to be bolted down?

Yes, pallet racks are designed to be bolted to a warehouse or factory floor. If your racking isn't securely bolted down, you could be putting yourself, your employees and your goods in harm's way.
